Osmania University, Hyderabad Started MCJ and PRO in Distance Mode from this year


Osmania University has introduced a two-year MA programme in Journalism and Public Relations through the distance mode. The programme to be offered through Prof. G. Ram Reddy Centre for Distance Education in association with the Department of Communication and Journalism was launched here on Wednesday by S. Satyanarayana, Vice-Chancellor.
The Vice-Chancellor released the course material covering all the five papers of the first year course. He said that the course covering the two complimentary fields of journalism and public relations offered vast job potential besides being equally useful for practitioners.
He mentioned that the priority of the university would be on augmenting infrastructural facilities at colleges, centres and departments to strengthen teaching learning process. The Vice-Chancellor said that Osmania University had been ranked 7th among the top 45 universities in India by the India Today-Nielsen survey.
