Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, Post Graduate Diploma and Certificate Courses Admissions 2012




Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, an autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India, has invited applications for admission to the various Programmes for 2012.

The courses and duration are as follows.
(i)Three Year Post Graduate Diploma in Direction (Bachelor's Degree)
(ii)Three Year Post Graduate Diploma in Cinematography (Bachelor's Degree)
(iii)Three Year Post Graduate Diploma in Sound Recording and Sound Design (Bachelor's Degree with Physics as a subject at Senior Secondary (10+2) level)
(iv)Three Year Post Graduate Diploma in Editing (Bachelor's Degree)
(v)Two Year Post Graduate Diploma in Acting (Bachelor's Degree)
(vi)Two Year Post Graduate Diploma in Art Direction and Production Design (Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture/ Painting /Applied Arts / Sculpture/ Interior Design in or any related field in the Fine Arts or an equivalent qualification)
(vii)One Year Post Graduate Certificate Course in Feature Film Screenplay Writing (Bachelor's Degree)
(viii)One Year Post Graduate Certificate Course in Direction (Bachelor's Degree); 12 seats
(ix)One Year Post Graduate Certificate Course in Electronic Cinematography (Bachelor's Degree)
(x)One Year Post Graduate Certificate Course in Video Editing (Bachelor's Degree)
(xi)One Year Post Graduate Certificate Course in Sound Recording and TV Engineering (Bachelor's Degree with Physics as a subject at Senior Secondary (10+2) level)

Each Course has an intake of 12. Proportionate no. of seats is reserved for SC/ST/OBC candidates and for Persons with Disabilities, as per Govt. policy of reservations.

In addition to the seats specified, one seat is reserved in each of the 3-year PG Diploma courses and in the Post Graduate certificate course in Feature Film Screenplay Writing, for foreign students on Indian Government sponsored scholarships such as those sponsored by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR)

TV course will have on an average 40 weeks class in a year. Film course will have on an average 44 weeks class in a year.

Admission Test: Admission will be based on the performance in an Entrance Examination, to be held on 06.05.2012 (Sunday) at Agartala, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Banglore, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Deharadun, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, and Thiruvananthapuram. Date can be changed if there are unavoidable reasons.

Application: The Prospectus containing the application form and other details can be obtained from ‘Controller of Examinations, Film & Television Institute of India, Law College Road, Pune - 411 004’, by sending a request along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 2150/- for General Category and Rs. 650/- for SC, ST and Economically Backward candidates (Parents should be BPL card holders) drawn on any of the Nationalised Banks in favour of ‘Accounts Officer, Film and Television Institute of India’" payable at Pune. Requests for prospectus by post will be entertained only after 3rd January, 2012 and till 3rd February, 2012. The Prospectus will be sent by Speed Post.

Prospectus can also be obtained personally from the Information and Facilitation counter (Tutorial Section), Film and Television Institute of India.

Application can also be submitted online till 29th February, 2012 at www.ftiindia.com .

The Last date of receipt of Filled Applications by the ‘Controller of Examinations, Film & Television Institute of India, Law College Road, Pune - 411 004, is 29.2.2012.
